final projection

For my final project I did a time lapse painting. The painting depicts a darker version of myself. In the shadows of an alley I stand over the body of someone, for all intensive purposes this is my victim. My ambitions for this project where much larger, I hadn't really anticipated the process of taking pictures and painting to be so painstaking. It seems I often have large aspirations for my projects and they always seem to gradually and gradually get scaled down which is very upsetting to me. I know that I have the ability to reach my goals and it is up to me to start to buckle down and start to put things into motion. I am still somewhat satisfied with my final product and am striving to learn more to better my skills as an artist.

"Life Lessons"

I have been having trouble posting my found sound and video project on blogger, it always tells me I need technical support. My overall process on the video was to get a few laughs by having the clips give nonsensical advice to whoever the viewer may be. I tried to use the video to line up the movement of the mouth with the words and I also used it to show that the young man and his parents were the ones receiving the advice from the man behind the desk. Overall I think the video worked but I would have gone back and watched the second video to get some clips and I would have tried to play with the effects in iMovie some just to give it a cooler feel than just old timey, I would have liked it to be a bit more bizarre... maybe next time I guess.
